I offer online therapy for young adults and adults navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, and the lasting impact of early experiences — in Arabic and English.

With over 15 years of clinical experience across hospitals, workplaces, and clinics in Egypt and the UK, I bring both medical and psychological expertise to every session — adapting my approach entirely to where you are in life and what you need most.

Supporting young adults through life transitions

The shift from teenage years into adulthood is one of the most significant — and often underestimated — periods of change in a person's life. Starting university, leaving home, moving to a new country, or stepping into independence for the first time can bring with it a profound sense of uncertainty, pressure, and vulnerability.

I work with young adults navigating this transition, whether they are adjusting to life abroad, finding their footing in a new academic environment, or simply trying to make sense of who they are becoming. This is a critical window for self-discovery, and therapy can be a powerful space to process these experiences and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Mental health support for adults

I have worked extensively with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety and panic attacks

  • Depression and persistent low mood

  • Grief and loss

  • Low self-esteem and self-worth

  • ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions that began in childhood

  • Stress related to work, relationships, or major life changes

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion

My background in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry gives me a strong clinical foundation for understanding not just the symptoms you are experiencing, but how they developed — and how they can be meaningfully addressed as part of your wider life story.

How your early experiences shape your adult relationships

One of the most meaningful areas I explore with adult clients is the connection between early upbringing and the way we relate to others as adults. My academic background in child development, combined with years of clinical work with children, teenagers, and their families, has deepened my understanding of how the relationship we had with our parents in childhood shapes our attachment styles in adult life.

These attachment patterns influence the way we connect with friends, romantic partners, and family members — often in ways we are not fully aware of. If you find yourself repeating patterns in relationships, struggling with closeness or trust, or carrying the weight of a difficult relationship with your own parents, therapy offers a safe and reflective space to understand where these patterns come from and begin to shift them.

My approach to adult therapy

I draw on a range of evidence-based and integrative methods — including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy, and narrative therapy — adapting each session to your unique needs, pace, and cultural background.

I have a particular understanding of the challenges faced by Arab individuals and those living between cultures — whether you are an immigrant navigating a new country, a young adult caught between cultural expectations and personal identity, or someone whose early experiences were shaped by a background very different from where you live today.

Sessions are fully online and available in Arabic and English, making it possible to work together no matter where in the world you are based.

What to expect when you begin

We start with two assessment sessions — a low-pressure space to get to know each other, understand what you are experiencing, and explore what kind of support would be most helpful for you. There is no obligation to continue beyond these sessions.

From there, we work collaboratively to build a personalised therapy plan at your pace, with regular reviews to make sure we are addressing what matters most to you.

If any of this resonates with you — whether you are ready to begin or simply have a question — I warmly invite you to get in touch. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
