I offer online therapy and support for parents navigating the challenges of raising children at every stage of development — in Arabic and English, wherever in the world you are based.
With over 15 years of clinical experience across hospitals, clinics, and private practice in Egypt and the UK, I bring both medical and psychological expertise to working with parents — combining psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and play therapy training to offer support that is grounded, practical, and deeply human.
Support for parents at every stage
Parenting is one of the most demanding and rewarding roles a person can take on — and no two stages of it are the same. Whether you are a new parent adjusting to life with a newborn, or a parent whose child is entering adolescence and everything suddenly feels more complicated, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore what you are experiencing and find an approach that works for your family.
I work with parents at every stage of their child's development — from the early years through to teenage life — offering personalised support that adapts to where you and your family are right now.
Supporting families through major life transitions
Family life does not always follow a straight path. Some of the most difficult moments for parents come not from parenting itself, but from the wider life changes that affect the whole family system. I support parents navigating significant transitions including:
Divorce and separation
Bereavement and loss
Relocation to a new country or culture
A child entering a new developmental phase
Blended family dynamics
Cultural and intergenerational family conflict
These transitions affect every member of the family differently, and I work with parents to understand and respond to their children's needs during these periods — while also taking care of their own wellbeing, which is just as important.
Understanding your own parenting patterns
One of the most powerful — and often most overlooked — aspects of parenting support is helping parents develop awareness of how their own upbringing, past relationships, and unresolved experiences shape the way they parent today.
I help parents explore their own vulnerabilities, early traumas, and relational patterns — not to assign blame, but to create genuine insight and space for lasting change. When we understand where our responses come from, we are far better equipped to show up for our children in the way we truly want to.
This is particularly meaningful for immigrant and Arab parents navigating the tension between the values and parenting models they grew up with and the very different cultural environment their children are growing up in.
Supporting parents of children with behavioral and emotional difficulties
My combined training in psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and play therapy gives me a strong clinical foundation for supporting parents whose children are experiencing emotional or behavioural struggles. These may include:
Low mood and depression
Low self-esteem and confidence issues
Body image concerns
Social difficulties and friendship challenges
Anxiety and panic
ADHD and attention difficulties
Behavioural challenges at home or school
Neurodevelopmental conditions
If your child has a formal diagnosis — such as ADHD, anxiety, or another condition — I support your wellbeing as a parent while helping you understand their needs more deeply. Together we build a personalised plan that fits your child's unique strengths, challenges, and abilities — whether that support is needed at home, at school, or both.
My approach to parent support
I offer an integrative and client-centred approach — drawing on CBT, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and psychoeducation depending on what is most helpful for your situation. I work collaboratively with parents, not prescriptively — meaning we explore solutions together rather than following a fixed programme.
I have a particular understanding of Arab and immigrant families, and the specific pressures that come with raising children between cultures — including navigating school systems in a new country, managing intergenerational expectations, and supporting children who feel caught between two worlds.
Sessions are fully online in Arabic and English, making it possible to work together wherever you are in the world.
What to expect when you begin
We start with two assessment sessions — a relaxed and pressure-free space to discuss your situation, your child's needs, and what you are hoping to address. From there, we agree on the most appropriate way forward together.
This might involve parenting sessions focused on your own wellbeing and approach, practical strategies for supporting your child at home or school, or a combination of both — always reviewed regularly and adapted as your family's needs evolve.
Parenting is not something you need to navigate alone — and seeking support is one of the most meaningful things you can do for both yourself and your child. I warmly invite you to get in touch, whether you have a specific concern or simply want to explore whether this kind of support might help.
